Warm Tulip Bouquet

Care of tulips
Tulips are fast growers. Below are a number of tips to ensure that the tulips last a long time and are less likely to droop.

• Cut the end of tulips straight.
  Do not cut the tulips at an angle, otherwise they will consume too much water and nutrition. The tulip will grow less quickly if the stem is cut straight.

• Little water in the vase.
  The tulip needs little water. A small amount of water in the vase is sufficient. If they get too much water, they will droop.

• Poke a hole in the stem
  Poke a small hole under the flower with a small pin. This slows down the growth of the tulip, causing it to grow shorter and droop.

• Wrap in dry newspaper.
  Wrap the tulips in newspaper and place them in a vase. Remove the paper later and the tulips will remain nice and straight.

• Choose the right vase
  Tulips need a vase to support the stem and flower.
